So That Happened

Exactly one week ago, I was sitting in the same spot that I'm sitting in now. Exactly one week ago, I was writing this post. Happy Ranger moments. Exactly one week later, not so much. Not sure I appreciate the juxtaposition happening but it's happening either way.The Rangers were eliminated in one of the worst ways possible.I thought the baseball gods were being nice to us for once by letting Bush strikeout Bautista. It had that feeling of "wow it might not end too terribly after all."

September Review- Top 10 Moments of 2016

The Texas Rangers won the American League West Division for the second year in a row and the fourth time in the last seven seasons. This 2016 team is special and has probably been the most fun to watch.

Trade or No Trade?

A little more than 24 hours left until the trade deadline and there has been a lot of talk and very little action when it comes to the Rangers and trades. And I'm not mad about it.The asking price for starting pitching is way too high. The minute a team starts asking for Mazara, I'm out. In my eyes, if the Rangers trade Mazara right now, that makes them sellers.

Concern vs Panic

I'm not panicking just yet.I'm leaning towards concern if anything.The Rangers have had a lousy July. And that's definitely cause for concern but I'm not ready to hit the panic button just yet.If this was happening after the trade deadline, continues beyond them getting a starting pitcher at the trade deadline, or happened in September, I'd be hitting that panic button so hard.

Why July is the Best Month of Baseball

Two words: Trade. Deadline.(Also the All Star Break but whatever.)Actually the deadline is August 1st this year...Screw it. July is still the best month of baseball.(Well October baseball is actually pretty great too...) Ok. The Best Team in the American League

So far this season, I've recapped the Rangers at the end of each month. However, they're playing way too good to wait until July 1st to talk about them again.I think I've made it extremely obvious I love the Rangers. In general, they're just fun to watch. Even in 2014 when they lost 95 games, I actually enjoyed watching every game. Mostly for their antics than the actual statistical playing of baseball.

2016 All Star Game Voting

Let's talk about the All Star Game ballot, shall we? The team with the best record in the American League doesn't have one player in the top 3 for their position. As of writing this post (June 12th) Elvis is currently sitting at number 5 for shortstops. Other than that, the Rangers don't have anyone close to being a starter. No Beltre. No Desmond. No Odor. No Mazara. Rangers don't even have an outfielder in the top 15.
