Sneak a Peek: Lipstick Drawer

The blog has seriously lacked beauty posts so I've decided to do a series of posts spanning over the next few weeks.

My favorite beauty YouTube videos are when they show their makeup collections. I think it's fascinating to see what they have and use and what they have and just hold on to. I definitely don't have a huge collection, like I said before I stick to certain products for so long that I don't change much in my routine or change it often. But I thought it would be fun to share, category by category.

We're starting with lipsticks.

Which turns out to be the product I use the least but love.

I love looking a lipsticks and seeing swatches, but I never wear them. Mostly I just hate the thought of reapplying it, or it smearing, or getting all over everything. It just seems annoying so I'd rather just deal with clear chapstick and be done with it all.

But I do have plenty of pretty lipsticks on the rare occasion that I'm feeling like a little pop of color on my lips.

I have a good mix of actual lipsticks and the lip stains/crayon/balm lipstick type.

 The lipsticks I use the most is probably Plum Velour in the fall/winter because it isn't as crazy out there as it looks, it can be more sheer. I also really like Pink Pout, it's a matte but can look really natural.

I do use these lip balms more than regular lipsticks because it's not a big deal if they fade, I can just use a clear chapstick the rest of the day, and they don't feel as dry either. Mostly I use the L'Oreal glossy balm in My babydoll or the Neutrogena color stick in Bright Berry. 

I also thought I'd mention, again, my favorite lip balm, it's from Bath and Body Works "My Favorite Night Balm." Seriously this is the best!Do you prefer lipsticks or chapstick? What's your favorite?
